CoverTree is acting as the agent of Markel in selling insurance policies. CoverTree receives compensation based on the premiums for the insurance policies sold. Surplus lines policies are not subject to all of the provisions of the North Carolina insurance laws and regulations. In the event of the insurer’s insolvency, losses are not covered by the North Carolina Insurance Guaranty Association
