Question: What insurance does my new lease mandate?

Answer: Your new lease mandates $100,000 of personal liability insurance coverage.

Question: How long do I have to buy insurance after I first heard about it?

Answer: You have 30 days from the date of first notice to purchase the necessary insurance coverage.

Question: What is liability insurance coverage?

Answer: Personal liability insurance coverage provides protection for you in the event of an accident, in or out of your home, that results in bodily injury or property damage that you are held legally responsible for.

Question: Why should I get insurance?

Answer: You should get your own insurance to protect you in the event of an accident. Depending on the coverage you select, purchasing your own insurance can also provide protection for your home or belongings.

Question: What happens if I don’t get insurance?

Answer: If you choose not to get insurance yourself, your community will purchase insurance to protect the community in case of an event or accident on your home site through the new Group Insurance Program.

Question: What does the Group Insurance Program policy cover?

Answer: The new Group Insurance Program policy will provide $100,000 of liability protection in the event of an accident on your home site such as fire, explosion, lightning, water damage, and bodily injury.

Question: How much is the policy through the Group Insurance Program?

Answer: The policy through the Group Insurance Program will cost you $27 per month.

Question: How will I be billed for the policy through the Group Insurance Program?

Answer: You will be billed monthly for the cost of the policy through your resident portal. You will also pay for the policy each month on the portal.

Question: If I get a policy through the Group Insurance Program, when does it become effective?

Answer: Your policy becomes effective on the 1st day of the same month you make your first payment.
